Model
History
Mitsubishi
FTO History
Introduced
in 1994. The FTO quickly established a reputation
in Japan for quality, performance, handling, practicality
and looks that left its principle rivals such as the
Honda Prelude and Toyota Celica in its wake. Equipped
with a superbly engineered chassis and storming quad
cam V6 engines the FTO has proven to be a huge success
for Mitsubishi.
A
face lifted version appeared in 1997 with a revised
nose section but other than this and the addition
of drivers and passenger side airbags in 96 and 97
respectively, the FTO has remained virtually unchanged
throughout its production. Some things are just right
from day one!
British
buyers have also, quickly realised the FTO's many
virtues and as a consequence, it has quickly gained
a dedicated and rapidly expanding customer base in
the UK.
Mitsubishi
EVO History
Launched
with a modicum of attention in 1992, no one could
have guessed that they were witnessing the birth of
legend. Through successive evolutions over the last
ten years, on the road and rallies of the world the
Evo has established itself as nothing short of a motoring
icon with a fanatical following.
We
concentrate on the EVO 5 and 6 models as these are
widely recognised as being the classic Evo`s. Wonderfully
focused drivers cars with a competiton pedigree second
to none which offer supreme value for money to the
customer. Equipped with Mitsubishi's ground breaking
active yaw control which distributes power as needed
to each wheel, these cars offer up an adrenaline packed
rally car for the road driving experience with Porsche
dispatching performance and handling. Evo 7 and 8
models including the latest FQ 300 and 330 are available
to order on request.
Subaru
Impreza History
Few could have imagined the impact the Impreza WRX was
going to have on the motoring world when it was first
introduced in 1992. What started as an engineering exercise
by Subaru`s fledgling competition department has rapidly
evolved into a car which has quite simply become a legend
in it's own lifetime. Car magazines accolade of 'Car
of the decade', beating off competition such as the
Mclaren F1, Audi TT, Porsche 911 and Ferrari 360 Modena.
'This
is a car that ate the 90's, then came back for seconds'
the magazine enthused. 'Supernatural is the word that
springs to mind when trying to account for the Impreza's
cornering ability'
Other
magazines concurred. Evo magazine described the Impreza
as 'the performance car bargain of the decade' while
Performance Car magazine also named it 'Performance
car of the decade'
Continuous
development throughout it's life and technology sharing
with the rally programme meant that each years successive
model featured tangible improvements in performance,
braking and handling.
The
import WRX we specialise in has rapidly established
itself as the enthusiasts choice in the UK. It is
an altogether different animal from it's very basic
UK cousin with much more power, better brakes and
equipment.
In
keeping with our company mission to offer our customers
the best product. We concentrate on the STi version
of the Impreza saloon featuring an enhanced engine
specification and increased power, a short ratio quick
shift transmission and uprated suspension and brakes.
And for the ultimate road going thrill, the 2 door
supercar slaying type R is available incorporating
Subaru`s most powerful engine, Group N transmission
and adjustable power distribution from the cockpit.
Mazda
MX5 History
The
mark 1 MX5 was launched in 1989 in Japan and with
it Mazda at a stroke had reinvented the traditional
rear wheel drive rag top affordable sports car that
in subsequent years swept all before it. The mark
2 followed in 1997 and continued the same simple but
brilliant concept. Bullet proof reliability, low running
costs and cheap insurance ratings combine to deliver
a definitive sports car.
Toyota
MR2 History
Launched
in 1999 the mark 3 MR2 built on the achievements of
it`s forebears to create a truly day to day practical
mid engined sports car. Super agile handling combine
with low weight and a 1.8 Vvti engine to deliver a
much sought after pure sports car that delivers the
thrills of a Lotus Elise but with Toyota`s legendary
reliability.
Nissan
Skyline History
Launched
in 1993 the R33 Skyline built on the achievements
of the R32 to deliver a car which in GTR specification
has achieved legendary status first in Japan and then
around the world. The R34 was unveiled in 1998 with
the GTR version the following year. All skylines are
impeccably engineered and supremely reliable machines.
Honda
S2000 History
Launched
in 1999 the S2000 was a keenly anticipated addition
to Hondas history of impeccably engineered performance
cars. At it`s heart lay a hugely impressive 2.0 Vtec
engine which drew heavily on Hondas competition experience
to deliver race car like performance characteristics
and a then unheard of 9,000 rpm red line. Traditional
rear wheel drive handling, a superb six speed transmission
and an ultra quick acting electric roof mechanism
combine to make a purists sports car of the highest
calibre.
Toyota
Supra History
Launched
in 1993 the Supra was Toyotas first genuine entry
into the super car market. It`s combination of aggressive
good looks, big power and and advanced technical specification
ensured an appeal and following which endures to this
day.
